Ryudosei — 流動性 —
The aim of this collection is to offer transformable outfits, who are adaptable to day activities as much as nightlife. The purpose is to give an alternative to the compromise, made for comfort or safety reasons, that is operated when running from work or school to bars, restaurants or clubs.
The collection is inspired by modular outfits present for decades in the Japanese culture. The kimono has an immutable pattern, however was worn by every social class of the country. Thus was possible because its shapes can embrace a large panel of activities thanks to its adaptability. The tying technique of farmers’ kimonos, liberating legs and arms, open new horizons for the creation of transformable garments, from casual to stylish. This collection is therefore composed of two main elements.
The first is a garment, fluid and loose, suitable for active day activities. The second is a wearable piece or leather, which will drape and retain the fabric of the garment under it. The leather piece is designed as both functional and sophisticated, thanks to a technique of stripes weaving borrowed from basketry. This collection allows you to jump from a full day or work, running between ateliers or meetings, to a bar or club, without paying extra cloakroom fee, and go back home with the night bus.
