Collapsology
In the very near future, it will become impossible to access food in big supermarkets. People will have to produce their own living goods. They will have to find a way to create their own clothes and to make their own tools, in order to cultivate the ground and grow food.
Humans will return to their roots with some specific materials, simple and renewable. Linen and bamboo replace synthetic and plastic.
The cultivator will reshape and mix historical references depending on his needs, such as objects from Vietnamese farmers or traditional Japanese basketwork and clothing. He may weave some rustic baskets and create a long hat in order to be protected from the rain during the harvest.
His clothes are as functional as the pattern is simple. The purity of geometrical shapes that composes the garment is accented by a deep piping that follows the contour of the pieces. The kimono sleeves allow him to stock some crops and his pants can be at various lengths. The volume of the baskets can also be modified by the compression of the bamboo strips that slide on each other.
The whole look is harmonious and adaptable to different morphology, in some pure and soft color tones.
